Pros: He is good teacher and very funny and he picks on students in class in a funny way and keeps class interesting. He has two take home tests and no hw or quizzes. In our class he covered little bit taxes and stuff which is kinda not related to managerial accounting but taxes is his forte.
Cons: Didnt learn much from the class or not atleast what i thought i would learn.

Tony taught this course like all courses should be taught. If you are there for the grade you shouldn't be in it. His ethusiasm is admirable and encouraging; especially in an 8AM course. I may have gotten a 'C' in the course, but I was damn more proud of that than the 'A' I got in Financial Accounting. I actually retain the material I learned here in conversation. I hate accounting, if I could major in taxes I would. Take him if you are willing to have your GPA drop a little just to actually learn something at Drexel.

Great professor. His teaching style is great and is willing to explain it until you completely understand. Tests were difficult but were open notes and book. Really makes you consider all aspects of the tax world and how the can be applied. Definitely would retake him!

He's a really nice guy, but an okay professor. Definitely makes class interesting but doesn't really explain the material well and goes off on tangents a lot. It's a little bit tough because his lecture style is different than most professors. I'd suggest reading the book to supplement the lectures because that's the only way the material makes sense.
His grading system:
-3 tax homework problems
-2 exams and optional final (no one takes the final)
Exams are tough but he curves the class generously at the end of the term- most people ended up with an A or B & attendance is mandatory.

Tony knows tax really well. His exams are pretty hard but he does curve them so as long as you study and try you should be okay.

Tony is awesome. I am definately not an accounting person, but he did a great job helping me learn it. The first day I walked into class I thought he was a condescending, biggot...but then I realized that he's just really sarcastic, and pokes fun at everyone...at least he's not discriminatory. He's funny, and makes even an accounting class fun. Go to class, take notes, use them on your open-book exams, and you'll be set.

Tests are very long and difficult. Read the text throughout the term, and make sure you bring it to the open book exams.
I got 57.5% on the first midterm and a 76% on the second midterm, but ended up with a B in the class. Finals are optional.

Awesome teacher! He is really funny in class. If you don't try, you are not going to do well but if you at least give it a shot and make an effort it is easy to receive a good grade. I would definately recommend him over any other accouting teacher that I have had.

I feel like such an IDIOT for not putting any effort into his class. I realize now I would have learned a whole lot.... But hey, for not putting any effort into his class, not opening the book once, and still receive a C for a final grade, damn...just think of what can happen if you try... Hes pretty funny too...old Italian guys are awesome.

Awesome Class! I learned a lot about the topics covered. Curatola is a funny character and a great guy. I suggest that you sit in front of class, come to every class, and study for the tests. He is a very easy grader as long as you make an obvious effort.

This man is awesome!!! he makes class fun. however, if ur a student that doesn't like goin to class then i wouldn't take him cause u will be lost. his tests are open notes and whatever grade u get on the first two exams u have an option to not take the final. I got an A and it was all from the notes i took in his class and the textbook. Def has a funny humor.
