He is super boring, kinda just reads off his handwritten powerpoint slides. Also doesn't teach exactly what the other teachers are teaching. His lectures really aren't very good.

Avoid this guy at all costs! His lectures are worthless. The first week of lecture the whole room was full and the week after there was practically nobody in lecture. He acts like we all are chemistry geniuses and rambles on about material that is irrelevant when it comes time for the exams. Also don't let him catch you talking during class because he will call you out in front of everyone and embarass you.

Funny guy, but I didn't learn anything in his class unfortunately. I agree with the comments saying that he should not be teaching level 100 classes - he should stick with the advanced courses.

He certainly knows his stuff and is probably much better at higher levels, but he really shouldn't be lecturing for freshmen chem. He tends to drift off topic and doesn't focus on what we will be tested on, so make sure you go to Dr King's reviews. He is apathetic to freshmen and said, in lecture, that he prefers an average of a 65% to really sort out the A's from the A+'s. He can however be somewhat humerus. He once set a table on fire when demonstrating the reason why certain compounds burn certain colors.

I really enjoyed his class so far. He is pretty funny and tries to keep students interested. He does best explaining things with examples...like the time he accidentally lit the lab table on fire and just looked at it...lol

Funny guy, knows his stuff, and makes it interesting. He focuses on more interesting facts than what's relevant to class which has its pros and cons. As far as the course goes, he won't help much unless you are already very good at the course. He is definitely better suited for higher courses. Overall I liked him.

Barely went to lectures. He lectured as if we were all chemistry geniuses, but like many he's prob great in upper levels.

Professor Addison has a very apathetic and down right snarky attitude when it comes to addressing students' concerns. Despite this is being a beginner chemistry course, Professor Addison lectures as though he is addressing a room of doctors and professors, NOT first year students. I definately would not take him again as an instructor, nor would I recommend him in the future.

Cool guy, makes usually boring lectures interesting with jokes. I only had him for lectures so Grading and Workload weren't really applicable.

Addison is very entertaining and has interesting stories, though I don't think he should be teaching 102 necessary. It's clear he hates the mathmatics, so he doesn't spend enough time on it, and since that's such a heavy focus on the tests, there wasn't a lot of help there. I loved going to his lectures, but I wasn't getting a whole lot useful information out of them. Part of that is mainly because of the way the whole class is structured, with so many lectures and recitations and then just the one test for everyone, but also his notes were very sloppy and disorganized. They were really worthless to me, and so I had to rely primarily on that horrible textbook we've been using for the course. I would take him again, provided it was a different class than this one. He's probably great in upper level classes.
