Pros: Nice lady.
Lovely french accent.
Lets you out early from class often.
Cons: Has trouble explaining material to you in a way that you will understand right away.
Thinks everything is easy for you because it is easy for her.
Anne Duchene is an ok professor, but there are much better ones that teach Econ 201. If you hate French accents, DO NOT take her because hers is very thick, although it is amusing. Her tests are pretty difficult, and the homework isn't a piece of cake either. Her lectures get very boring very quickly, and it is hard to pay attention in her class. She is a nice person, but I would take someone else if I could.

Pros: I love her French accent
Make herself very clear in class
Exams are almost the same as practice problems
If you ask your question skillfully during exam, she will tell you how to do the question and if your answer is right... What else do I need to say.

Absolutely fantastic professor. Has a slight french accent. Hot. A great teacher. The course itself is ridiculously easy. And she tries her best to make it easier and give students as much help as possible. Great professor.

Pros: Clear Content showed by Powerpoint
Easy Exam (Almost same as sample)
Cons: Very occasionally her speech will cause a little confusion
For foreing students, if you dont worry about the French style English, then this professor is the best one of all the professors who teaches this courses
Very easy A+ one!

Pros: Easy to understand and you won't even have to read textbook, just read her slides and you will be good.
Cons: Doesn't have close relationship with students, but she welcomes all questions.
If you are Econ major, she would be too easy for you.
I got her for the very first term in Drexel. She was nice and I liked her French accent, it was kinda cute. Her exams were not too hard but you should study to get high grade, if you want. No class attendance, you can skip as many you want, it doesn't matter at all because she sends her powerpoint to you every weeks. But I found it interesting to come to class, I learnt a lot from this class and this is my favorite class in Drexel so far. Definitely recommend her!

accent thicker than concrete and class can be drier than death valley but she knows what she's talking about. Also, possible the nicest person you will meet and will go completely out of her way to help you

Cons: Lady is a doofis, her face is annoying to look at, horrible English, unavailability to meet
Tests are awful and dont reflect what is covered in class which is also different from the problems of the HW.
Textbook is not even mentioned during the course.
Just an irritatingly stupid class, this class made me drop my economics concentration, had a 3.6 gpa and then a b- in this joke of a pointless class brought me down to a 3.2.
Go ahead and take it yourself so you'll have a better understanding of french people.

Pros: Very careful and caring teacher. If you get a low grade it is because you tried hard.
Cons: Sometimes a little repetitive and the class can get a little boring.
Very good class to learn the fundamental of how the market and the economy works on small scale.

Pros: Explains economic concepts very well and is always willing to help students
Cons: Boring classes
Other than weekly homework assignments her class was pretty easy. The tests weren't bad as long as you prepared for them.

Pros: She's a good teacher overall, understanding and nice.
Cons: There isn't much of an individual one on one kind of relationship, but if you ask questions she'll answer them. It was sometimes hard to pay attention in her class, it got boring sometimes

Pros: Very nice lady, always greets the class and asks how we are doing
Very accommodating with grades. During my time in her class, she cancelled an exam to give us more time to study, gave students the option to have one of the test weigh more than the other to improve our grades, and gave extra credit homework to improve our homework averages.
Very receptive with students and wants them to do well. She asks for questions frequently and gives a lot of time to help students if they need it.
Cons: Classes can be boring, generally reads off of powerpoint slides
French accent makes her difficult to understand at times
Would definitely take her again for Econ. Workload is average, just do all online homework, which generally isn't too strenuous. Tests aren't bad if you study. Practice tests are almost exactly the same as the real ones, so definitely study those. Her powerpoints are generally good for studying too.

Good teacher when it comes to economics. I had to retake the course and she was much better than the professor I had before. Gives curves to help students on the exams and emails the slides to you every week.

She is so nice! The work was straight forward and all online homeworks. You absolutely did not have to go to lecture. She gives exam review sheets that if you do will get you As on the test! DEFINITELY take her.

I love Anne! Her French accent makes listening to her extremely enjoyable! She's a fair grader who would go out of her way to help you get an A, I would definitely recommend her to anyone! The class itself has such easy concepts, her workload is close to nothing (a couple online questions a wwek), but going to lectures personally always helps me absorb the info.

Duchene is a great lady. Her class is simple and I learned a lot. She doesn't take attendance, but all the information comes from her lectures. She is very approachable if you don't understand something or have a question. Her tests are almost exactly like the practice tests she sends out. A good professor to take this class with

I have never had a problem understanding Professor Duchene's accent...actually, it's nice and easy to listen to! She is probably one of the most helpful teachers I've ever had. I was really nervous to take an economics course because I've heard they're hard, but she always asks if anyone has any questions and is very available for help. She emails her slides out ahead of time every week, and goes over the homework and exams in class. She has a way of explaining things and going over them that seems like she really cares whether people are following or not.

Not a good teacher at all. Her accent is to rich you cant understand her half the time. She does not know how to effectively explain the material, and grades harsh. She does not care about her students. When my class did poor on the first exam she tld us we better do better next time because she wont grade so liently. Dont expect a curve or any sympathy.

She was a good teacher, rather repetitive and her accent makes some things hard to understand. She will help you if you ask, so I suggest you would do so if you take her course. Tests were somewhat difficult and studying is required. Her practice tests are almost exactly the same as the test. Her homeworks were easy. I got a B+ and learned alot, so take her!

I have her now for ECON 338, She goes over basic concepts we learned in intermediate micro. If you learned a lot in ECON 301, take this class with her, its almost the same exact material.
