Took BLAW 201 Contracts with him. Blew me away. This class was so clear and well taught, I couldn't believe how much I learned and how much fun he made it. He is very fast on his feet and often laugh out loud funny, but always directd to his materials. Never wasted time. Great examples from his life as a lawyer; made me consider law school for the 1st time bigtime.

Pros: Friendly, down-to-earth
Cons: Doesnt know how to construct a class, Boring book.
Check attendance.
I have no idea how his rating can be so high. He's super overrated imo. His class is easy (you dont need to read the book. Just come to class and talk some bullshit. No homework). The ideal class if you want to just sit down, engage in a conversation and learn nothing. Also, a lot of movies watching.
After his class I learnt nothing at all. The class was super slow comparing to all other blaw classes that I had had. We covered 4-5 chapters for the 10 classes. The book was super boring and was written in a way that confused student rather than helping. The midterm and final were multiple choice, and the questions were more about history of some famous cases rather than legal issues. I didnt learn anything from his class.

Pros: Professor Genetta presented all of his knowledge of white collar crime in a non-biased, educational and overall informative way. I left every class with a headache (*in a good way!*) from the topics he spoke about and questions he challenged us to think about. This class one of my top two favorite classes ever taken because it is so relevant to both life choices and work ethic. I never understood why teachers pushed the seemingly simple topic of ethics so much in so many different classes until he explained how easily conflict of interest occurs and the detrimental causes it can have on oneself, the society, and the entire world. This class has opened my eyes in so many different ways from the food we consume to who we vote for, and it couldn't have been done without Genetta's amazingly effective teaching style!
Cons: None.

I was beginning to think all college classes used nothing but PowerPoint or straight lecture. Meh: I can do that online for al ot less $. This guy has revolutionized me at Drexel. He is just damn great. I like going to class, may change my major to law, and I make friends in class because he encourages that by demanding we network to get notes - no BbLearn needed or wanted. He borders on hilarious often adn the class moves quick. He really makes it clear and it is interesting. People take him for as many classes as they can. He's not an easy grader - just a good good teacher. Money's worth bigtime.

Pros: hes a very engaging professor, very easy to go to his class, it was actually one of the few classes i always looked forward to
Cons: none
theres generally no homework or out of class work, he likes you to take copious notes in class so there is no out of class work. his final exam is open book and notes and worth pretty much ur whole grade and he gives you more than enough time to do the test. i would take him over and over again if i could, easily one of my top 3 favorite professors at drexel.

Most interesting blaw teacher at drexel. He is still a practicing lawyer so his classes are in the late afternoon and they are relevant. Most of the reviews people posted about him are outdated....
He let us pick if we wanted to take a midterm or just have a final. I had had him twice, once we took both, once we only had a final (open notes) - every exam was all MC and somewhat challenging, but if you go to class, take notes and pay attention you'll be fine.
He doesn't post notes online because this isn't a 101 throwaway class - the discussions in class are how you learn the information. If you dont want to have to go to class, don't take his classes.

Taking Crim Law 342 now. Took WCC 348 already. Only teaches once a qtr and only at night. Turns law inside out and U.S. upside down. Challenges what you thought you know. Smart. Nice. Like him a lot.

Controls the class by being relaxed which doesn’t sound like it makes sense but it worked. I think he’s used to working a judge or jury with logic and a story. To me, he mocks and seduces the class at the same time, and I didn’t know if I was coming or going sometimes. Hard not to pay attention. Thisheld my attention and made me really laugh so I learned the material. Looked forward to class even when I was tired and it was at the end of the day. Liked him alot. Has alot of good examples that are real life and related to the materials. He cares that you learn it. I’d take him again.

Hands down one of the best teachers at Drexel. Knows everything there is to know about CJ law. There are no tests or final. All written work, and if you like writing you'll be fine. The workload is steady but not too hard. Uses real scenarios and examples to illustrate every point. He is very funny and makes class interesting (Includes a trip to the CJ Center). I would recommend even if your just looking for an interesting elective. Its not too hard, very interesting, and you'll learn a lot.

Although there were a lot of writing assignments, I liked him. Class was fun as well as interesting. Genetta is a great professor and is willingly to help you. If you actually put in the effort, you will appreciate the class. and if I wasn't graduating, I would retake.

White Collar Crime Who's the joker below/above me?
This was an interesting well taught class. A good rounded mix of videos, student-debates, discussion and prof lecture. Used real life examples and the textbook. One of my best profs at this University.

Really only calls on females. Make sure all your homework answers are worded like the readings cause thats the only thing he cares about when he grades.
Over all an OK guy, but don't think like a lawyer in the class. (Even though he is a lawyer and it is a Criminal Law class......)

This is a must-take professor because of the unusual teaching style and ability to make this topic interesting, relevant and fun.
He puts the present business world you'll graduate into with the course topic using politics, history and economics. It's not your standard gut law class, but an interesting, reality based approach to WCC and college.
White Collar Crime is perjury, tax evasion, wire fraud, mail fraud, etc., so this could be a real bore. Instead, it's focused on separate topics like corporate crime through, say, Enron, and then you extrapolate into overall corp. crimes from there.
Genetta's an entertaining and funny guy and is a trial attorney so keeping the student "jury" involved is second nature. We went to a real trial, saw a very cool documentary, had a crazy junk food demonstration with mounds of sugar and got to eat the crap too (and it made great teaching points and kept your interest too), and relived Watergate with political WCC.
Also, for me, the best thing is NO midterm or final. Just short weekly papers. They add up though and it requires lots of thinking and consistency so what at first seems like it will be easy ends up as real work. I guess since he's a lawyer, he ain't giving away grades. It's all Socratic (Q&A) like law school and about creating and thinking thru your ideas. I learned a lot about how to think clearly in this class. But minus the jerk-off attitude of so many teachers.
Do yourself a favor and take the class.

Overall, this class was great. he doesn't believe in regurgitating information onto exams, so there are only written assignments. Some are just Chapter questions and some are handouts/papers. Although the class is writing-intensive, he gives plenty of time for each assignment, and he is very understanding about time conflicts. Attendance is required, but you get two freebies. Above all, he is an adjunct who practices law and knows his stuff. He doesn't believe in lecturing, so his class is discussion-based and very interesting. He is also pretty funny. I highly recommend you take a class with him!

There is no midterm or final. The quizzes which are chapter problems are long. They are not hard but very time consuming. But as the term progresses he does shorten them. Class is very interesting, he doesn’t preach, he conducts the class so you can think critically for yourself. Attendance is required though; otherwise he is great and would definitely recommend taking him.

He is a very good professor. He is NOT full of himself. He is very honest about what he knows and what he is not sure of. He lets every student express how they feel about law. Easy class. Very interesting. Easy grader. NO FINAL OR MIDTERMS just weekly homework (quizzes). One of the most interesting professors at Drexel. Would retake the class again.

Ignore these jokers. Students who know the law? I guess you went to law school then too right?? This class is an easy B, an A if you can go to class, read the book, and have common sense. The assignments can be long at first, but he shortens them to 3-5 questions by the end of the term. No final or midterm, only homeworks and a "final" paper. He doesn't call on many people who raise their hands, he just usually randomly calls on people (especially ones who arent paying attention). I wish every teacher had his mindframe for tests and homeworks, he even makes fun of other teachers. An easy class overall, and let's be serious, how many easy classes are there at Drexel? Would definately retake if I could.

Good teacher. He's actually a lawyer so he knows what he's talking about. No midterm or final - just a few major papers. Interesting and informative class, deviates from the traditional style of teaching. I would definitely re-take a class with this teacher. Nice job Drew!!
