Prof. Lippincott was an excellent professor he works you hard for the 1st 4 weeks of class until the midterm and than it is just mostly paper writing....... he opens your mind up to question arguments in ways you never thought i would retake again!

He is okay.. kind of an arrogant New England type. But some people like that. And don't say anything bad about smoking or he'll fail you.
His test (1) isn't too bad, but he can be pretty harsh on his papers. Papers have like no deadline until end of term which is kind of annoying since they account for 70% of your grade. I'm a procrastinator so this has sucked for me.

Great teacher but, i feel like if any one wana to take him, go with morning section don’t take last/evening sections. I and my friends were in his class, so we felt the difference.

Taught only the material that he thought was necessary, which is great because it rid all the useless material out of the course. He grades fair and gives an opportunity for extra credit.

he is a very nice person, his class is very interesting, but he has one weired habbit of taking everything out of his pocket: cigarets Camel, lighter, walet, lip balm...

Lipponcott is the man. Cool guy and presents really interesting information. Class is not hard at all, two or three short papers, and easy midterm in class.

He's pretty crappy on feedback. I thought his class was prety cool until he gave my an INC for the class for not handing in a paper that I def turned in on the required day. To add to it I gave him another a week into the following term through email and a hard copy and he still hasn't not given a grade back. It's been 6 weeks!!!

Amazing Prof. Great class. He actually listens to what his students say and doesn't make judgments, which is quite unlike most of the philosophy department. This is a real philosophy prof.

Great teacher, made a complicated class became nice very understandble class. He know what he's talking about, and not too much work for required class. Only two 3-5 pages papers for the midterm and final. Definitely take him.

He has a lot to offer. If your more of a good student and a thinker you will respect him. He is very intelligent. One of the finer teachers here at Drexel. He was the only teacher that stimulated my mind this term. Good teacher.

i dunno about this guy. on one hand, he was very understanding and seemed to care about his students. but then he also was kind of rude and if you disagree with him he can become a real smart ass. i wouldn't take him unless you agree with his opinions.

I don't know what Lippincott everyone else took, but I didn't think he was that great. From the very beginning of the term he said he wouldn't even bother trying to get to know our names. Thanks, you know, I only help pay your salary. And in my class, discussions practically never happened. I think he just likes to hear his own voice. Anyway, he wasn't as bad as I'm making him out to be. His teaching was alright. He was really laid back with attendance and he had his occassional one-liners. Overall, an OK teacher.

Calm, laid back, light-hearted, always seems to have an amused grin on his face. Very well prepared and articulate lecturer; likes to engage the class in discussion, and unlike some other professors who prefer that format, he actually knows how to ask questions that generate discussion, and he has a good sense of how to keep the discussion flowing while still remaining on topic. He treats everybody's contributions with respect; he gives people a chance to talk uninterrupted, and even when someone says something stupid, he's diplomatic about it.
He has what he calls a "laissez-faire view of the teacher-student relation"-- IOW, how well you do in the course is your responsibility. He will not nag you about missed classes or assignments. There's more to it, and he explains it all in a very clear manner in the syllabus.
Exam questions covered material discussed in class, and the class discussions covered the readings and the relevant concepts in depth(which is why, even though he doesn't take points off for attendance until you've missed a few weeks, attending class is really helpful in passing the exams). There were no tricks. The paper did not require research and was not graded harshly.

Prof. Lippincott is one of my favorite professors. He makes class interesting, no tricks on the exam, and things are generally due by the end of the term (no real due date). His class does require some reading, but you are not forced to talk in class, as long as you don't fall asleep or eat, you can still receive good marks for participation. I highly recommend Prof. Lippincott.

He is a really good teacher and he makes his lectures worth listening to. The only problem is, the longer he writes on the board, it seems as though he stops writing actual English words and starts writing in some form of Elvish. You have to listen to what he is saying because you will never figure out what he has written.
