Professor Tonik is a great teacher. If you have any questions or problems during class, he encourages questions. Also, he holds office hours and is more than happy if you come to see him about something. I highly recommend him as a teacher.
He knows a lot (working in the industry for so long), and he's very nice. You'll be surprised at how mobile he is for his age. The class was very easy, but he does take off points if you don't do the problems the way he does them. He probably is retired and just doing this for fun (he only comes in like once a week).
Tonik's words would drift off while teaching and he would just stare not saying anything for seriously 45 seconds while the whole class is looking at eachother all thinking, "Did he just die while teaching while standing up with his eyes open?" I learned almost nothing from his class. Don't get me wrong, he's a really nice guy and the one time I went to his office for assistance he was a great help, but this guy does really need to retire.
The guy tends to keep a lot more to the topics which you do labs for than Navagarja in ECEC302. He is older but the quizzes are easy and the labs are actually fun if you know basic C. Finding a good partner gives you an easy A.
this guy should just retire. now. |
