Fair and considerate; understands that students at Drexel aren't the literature types but makes it interesting anyway.

I enjoyed his class very much. He likes to make it a fun class even with his obvious "trying-too-hard funny attempts". He's easygoing, a fair grader and he also cares about helping you improve your writing. He gives a different outlook on the readings in order to make it easier for you to understand. I'd love to have him again...not a stressful teacher at all.

Generally a fair professor, a little disorganized but cares about his students and tries to make the information easy to understand.

He is a good teacher. Not too hard. Attendance is required, miss more then 3 classes and your screwed. Plus side: only 2 essays and a short final on Fences.

I could sit and think for hours about something bad to say about this teacher and i would still have nothing to say. Take whatever class he is teaching and you will not be dissapointed.

A welcome relief from the mind-numbing boredom of the useless lit courses

Gerstle has a great teaching style. He gives you pointers on how to figure out what Shakespeare is saying, but he basically respects you more if you can draw your own conclusions. I was amazed that there were even enough students at Drexel who would even take a Shakespeare course. But a couple were therejust because it fit their schedule and basically slowed down the class and took up space

It was a decent class. I wasn't real good at writing but I improved and got an A.

He's literally the dumbest man ever. If you actually like literature don't waste your time, but he's an easy grader

He really was an awesome teacher. He wanted students in his class to succeed very much and made sure there were plenty of opportunities to bring your grade up if you weren't doing well.

Really good teacher. Helped me to improve my writing skills. Picked the stories that we would enjoy. Good listener. He is actually a decent writer too. Not like some of these professors who teach and they never had experience in their field.

This teacher makes the class enjoyable. He really encourageds group discussion and respects what we have to say. He also has us make up our own test questions, which I thought was really unique because it makes you think.

Worst teacher ever. The only way I can state it is, if your a Lit major go ahead. If your not, like me, than wait till next turn if you can for your Lit class
