Personal Statement

My journey in Physics started in High School, with an excellent teacher, who made the subject so easy and fun. Because of that teacher, I decided to study Physics in college. I started studying Physics in 2012 in Germany. I graduated with a Master's degree at the top of my class and won two awards for my excellent grades and thesis. After that, I decided to start my PhD program. As part of my responsibilities as a PhD student, I had the opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate classes, with anywhere between 5 to 20 students. I also gave a lecture 'Introduction to Physics', a class visited by more than 200 students. Giving those classes made me realize how much I love to teach. I started giving more 1:1 tutoring for students who were struggling with the material. Teaching quickly became the best aspect of my PhD program. Today, after a year of graduating and starting a new job outside of academia in Los Angeles, I realized how much I miss teaching. That is why I'm looking for ways to take it up again. Hopefully, I can inspire you like my Physics teacher inspired me during High School!
