Personal Statement

I studied biology and microbiology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and graduated with my bachelor's degree. I am also a journalist who served as a section and copy editor for The Channels, which is an award-winning student newspaper. My tutoring experience includes helping AP Chemistry and AP Biology high school students. I have also taught biology to new college students and biology majors. I think to make sense of the world around us we must understand the concepts of the living systems which is why I love biology so much.
