Personal Statement

I fell into teaching while taking an acting class: fellow students heard I was a classically trained vocalist so they asked me to help them develop their voices. One thing led to another and my schedule was full. I studied up on different ways to teach and developed my own spin. I've been focused almost exclusively on teaching for the last few years, but I made my living singing professionally in NYC for many years. Students have rated me highly for effectiveness and punctuality. It is important for me that you don't need me after a short time. I want you to gain the tools you need from me, then move on. I put a lot of emphasis on mindset and use scripting, affirmations, NLP, and other techniques to help you learn faster and achieve your goals quickly. I want you to discover your own power and this will carry over to every aspect of your life. Besides teaching singing and piano, I've written choral works and music for piano and singer. I love to hike through the southwest, especially Arizona where I lived before relocating to Los Angeles. I've always had an interest in spirituality, psychology, and the principles of quantum physics. I love aesthetic bodybuilding and fitness and you'll often find me taking jazz technique class as well as hip hop and pop dancing. My favorite genres of music are EDM (esp Wuki and Excision), jazz (esp Charles Mingus and Dave Brubeck), classical (esp Bach), and rock n roll (esp Elton John and Robbie Williams).
