Personal Statement

I am a Trumpet player, teacher, and arranger from Argyle, Texas. I received a Bachelor's degree in Classical Trumpet Performance from the Eastman School of Music in May of 2020. While in Rochester, New York, I performed within a variety of ensembles including the Eastman Wind Ensemble, Eastman Jazz Lab Band, Eastman New Jazz Ensemble, Eastman Philharmonia, Eastman Baroque Trumpet Ensemble, various commercial ensembles in the city, and my brass quintet, Gibbs Street Brass. As a soloist I have competed in the National Trumpet Competition, Music National Teachers Association Young Artist Competition, and the Jeju International Brass and Percussion Competition. I have performed as a soloist with the Argyle High School Wind Ensemble, and the Civic Orchestra of Fort Worth. In June I will be moving to Los Angeles to start my career, and begin my graduate studies at University of California Los Angeles' Herb Alpert School of Music. I have been a private teacher for the last 9 years, and am excited to get to work with you!
