Personal Statement
My name is Alexander Sherzai! I am 19 years old and I am a soon-to-be Masters student in Data Science @ UCLA with plenty of experience in mathematics and programming. I graduated with honors with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and a minor in mathematics at California State University Los Angeles. I received A's in introductory Python and Java classes and all Calculus classes. I also received a perfect score on the Quantitative Reasoning section of the GRE. Over the past few years, I acquired experience applying my knowledge in these topics in both research and industry positions. I have experience tutoring biostatistics at the graduate level, and I hope to contribute to student success by personally connecting and exchanging knowledge.
