As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety considerations
Ability to confidently work in deep water and use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, treading water without hands - 2 min, etc.)
Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is a plus but not required
Must be 18 years of age
