Personal Statement

I am enrolled at the Columbia University in the City of New York pursuing my degree in Spanish and Education. I am working towards a career in middle and high school Spanish. During my educational career, I became fluent in Spanish and traveled to study in a variety of countries. I served as a volunteer English tutor, working one-on-one with students in elementary school math, SAT subject test prep, AP Spanish, and writing. As a tutor, I enjoy working with my students to challenge them, build their confidence, and develop their academic skills.
