I have an extensive academic and professional background starting with my bachelor's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. From there, I earned my doctorate in biology from Boston College. I conducted research that won awards in the field of AIDS research. Between my undergraduate degree and earning my doctorate, I was a research assistant studying inflammation caused by kidney disease.
