Personal Statement

I have been a tutor off and on quite extensively in the past. I definitely understand how important it is to develop a strong teacher-student relationship. Having a healthy relationship helps the students improvement and growth. As a tutor, I learn where my students are struggling the most and start from there. I use different approaches to solve problems and encourage my students to approach problems from different angles. While I am supportive and encouraging, I am also adamant about pushing my students to practice more, so they do not become complacent.
