As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfort in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety considerations
• Proficiency in deep water with basic watercraft usage (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute hands-free tread water, etc.)
• Experience working with or teaching children preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
