POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 20 years of age
• Associates’ or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in early childhood education, or 48 college credits in child development.
• Must hold and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Must have minimum of 1 year experience in early childhood education (as shown by a positive reference from a former employer supervisor in the preschool education field).

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to hear and speak in a manner understood by most persons
• Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
• Must be able to stoop and bend; must be able to lift and transfer children

Teacher

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides education and nurturing environment for children. Develop, plan and implement lesson plans to children of all ages and responsible for the following activities, which includes but not limited to:

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
• Develop, plan and implement classroom activities.
• Plan educational field trips to develop cultural interest for children.
• Ensure children are clean and tidy upon parent’s arrival for pickup.
• Attend in-service trainings per OSSE regulations.
• Maintain a physical environment that conforms to governmental and agency standards of safety and cleanliness, which is conducive to optimal growth and development of the child.
• Documents and maintains child safety according to regulatory standards.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned
